I will guide you toward better health in a way that works for YOU
Many of us are really struggling with our health and want to know which foods, supplements and lifestyle measures are helping and which are slowing us down. We want to FEEL better and have more ENERGY but we just don’t know exactly how to get there.
I CAN HELP!!
I have been working as a Pharmacist for over 20 years, and am also a Holistic Nutritionist. I see health and wellness from a unique perspective. These are some of the conditions I can help with:
Autoimmune Disease
Digestive Issues
Cancer
Type II Diabetes
Heart Disease
Immune system health
Symptoms are the language the body uses to speak to us…
….and it’s up to us to listen!
Your journey starts with YOU.
I am here to be your guide.
Finding health doesn’t need to be complicated. My goal is always to simplify.
I speak from experience, vegetables and health haven’t always been my thing…
If we give the body what it needs and take away what’s slowing it down, its amazing what can happen!
What I Do
My goal is to listen. Most of my client sessions happen organically.
We will explore concepts such as ways to improve digestion, ways to detoxify, ways to interpret what your body’s symptoms might be trying to tell you, ways to increase nutrient density on your plate, and the importance of gut health in overall body wellness.
We will also talk about lifestyle practices and uncover some of the habits that might be contributing to poor health as discovering better health isn’t just about food!
We will set realistic goals together that can be implemented at a rate that works for you and your lifestyle.
How I Work
If you are looking for detailed meal plans and recipes, then I may not be the nutritionist for you. Don’t worry! There are many meal planner nutritionists out there.
I’m more inclined to discuss important concepts and based on your symptoms, talk about which foods to eat more of and ones to eat less of. I don’t use recipes much myself, to be honest.
I’m all about keeping things simple.
I can teach you tricks to get the right foods on your plate quickly and how to make them taste good without complicated recipes. That said, I can also point you toward some great cookbooks, if you are inclined.
Although many of my suggestions will result in weight loss for someone that is overweight, I’m not a specific weight loss coach if weight loss is more important than health. My focus will be to improve overall body health and wellness.
We will meet in person at my home office just outside of Vernon, BC. Online visits are also possible and welcomed! If you learn best by ‘doing’, then let me know during our first visit and we’ll come up with a plan!
My goal is to listen, support, educate and guide you along your health journey.
I am non-judgmental, empathetic and compassionate. If this sounds like a good fit, then I might just be the right practitioner for you!

Get to know Allison…
Allison grew up on a farm in Manitoba. Her parents were and still are, avid vegetable gardeners.
She has viewed ‘health’ and ‘lack of health’ from many different angles over the years…
Firstly, she’s been there herself. Allison knows what it feels like to feel unwell and have no energy. She lived in that place herself for many years…
“I can remember feeling like I had a bowling ball attached to every appendage and all I could do was drag myself through every day. It’s a horrible feeling. You look fine to those around you, but inside you feel like garbage.”
Allison has worked as a pharmacist for over 23 years and her experience in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and oncology have helped her to understand that there are many factors in keeping our bodies healthy and well.
There is the angle of appropriate medication use where she has spent much of her focus over the years, but there is also the angle of lifestyle habits and nutrition, which is an area where she has developed a keen interest in more recent years, after discovering first hand how important these factors really are to one's health and well being…
“Holistic nutrition principles have given me my life back. Before, I barely had enough energy to play a board game with my kids. Now we chase one another up and down mountains!”
Allison focuses on nutrition and lifestyle practices with her clients. She is a big advocate for self-care, restored gut health, stress removal techniques and energy restoration. She believes that with proper education, discipline and support, that it’s possible to bring the body back toward balance and better health…
“If we give the body what’s crying for, and pull out what is slowing it down, it will start to heal itself and that’s when the magic happens.”
Allison continues to work as a pharmacist part-time, and sees holistic nutrition clients in Vernon, BC. She lives in the Okanagan, surrounded by lakes, trees and mountains. She loves to hike in nature, cycle on a country road, paddle board on a calm lake, snowboard in the mountains, travel anywhere, cheer her kids on, sing, spend quality time with friends and family, and relax by a fire with a good book.
